In their first-ever visit to New Hampshire, Texas State women’s basketball secured their fourth consecutive win after defeating Dartmouth 61-51 Sunday afternoon at Leede Arena.
The victory was the Bobcats’ first road win and pushed the team’s overall record to 6-2.
Texas State held Dartmouth to a season-low 15 field goals, forcing The Big Green to 32% shooting accuracy and 20 turnovers.
Sophomore forward Da’Nasia Hood led the Cats’ with a game-high 15 points, while senior guard Brooke Holle scored 11 points and sophomore guard Kennedy Taylor followed with 10.
Despite a rough start, Texas State went into the half with a 30-22 lead. Dartmouth bounced back and took a five point lead late in the third quarter. The Bobcats played tough defense in the fourth quarter, keeping The Big Green to a season-low six points and outscoring them 17-6.
Texas State will continue their New England road trip with a road match against Morgan State Wednesday 11 a.m. on Wednesday in Baltimore, MD.
