Texas State soccer returns to the Bobcat Soccer Complex after four straight away games to host the undefeated Arkansas State University Red Wolves at noon on Oct. 10.
The Bobcats look to add another win in a tough season against Arkansas State (6-0-0 overall, 5-0-0 conference), as Texas State stands 2-7-1 overall and 2-3-0 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Texas State last faced the Red Wolves Sept. 27, resulting in an 0-2 loss for the Bobcats. The game was statistically close, as the Red Wolves separated themselves with a free-kick goal and another score to accentuate the Bobcats’ scoring woes this season.
A win against the Red Wolves would even out the conference record for the Bobcats, who are currently tied with Appalachian State and the University of Louisiana Lafayette for fifth place. Including this game, Texas State has three more opportunities, all at home, to move up in the standings before the Sun Belt Conference Tournament begins Nov. 4.
Last week’s win against ULM (0-5-0 overall, 0-4-0 conference) was Texas State’s only victory during its four-game stretch on the road.
The Bobcats’ game against Arkansas State will be streamable on ESPN+, the sixth of eight games available on the platform so far this season.
