The Hays County Local Health Department reports three new COVID-related fatalities, a Kyle man in his 50s, a San Marcos man in his 90s and a San Marcos woman in her 60s. There have been a total of 292 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 434 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 468 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 23,123, total active cases to 2,,182 and recoveries to 20,649. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 3,095.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 701, 820 and 374 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 209,098. The total number of hospitalizations is 1,105 and total current hospitalizations is 67 after 31 people were hospitalized and 13 were discharged.
