The Hays County Local Health Department reports one new COVID-related fatality, 195 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 104 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 22,689, total active cases to 2,219 and recoveries to 20,181.
There have been a total of 289 COVID-19-related fatalities in the county since the start of the pandemic. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 2,781.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 688, 807 and 423 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 205,579. The total number of hospitalizations is 1,074 and total current hospitalizations is 49 after five people were hospitalized and three were discharged.
