The Hays County Local Health Department reports six new COVID-19-related fatalities Nov.1. There have been a total of 399 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 196 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 313 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 29,694, total active cases to 431 and recoveries to 28,864. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 790.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 91, 138 and 119 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 274,778. The total number of hospitalizations is 1,341 and total current hospitalizations is nine after five people were hospitalized and nine were discharged.
The county reports eight unvaccinated people and one fully vaccinated person hospitalized. Seven unvaccinated patients and zero fully vaccinated patients are in the ICU.
