The Hays County Health Department reported 193 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 June 24 along with six recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 2,194, active cases to 1,786 and recovered cases to 403.
San Marcos has the highest number of active cases in the county at 1,199. Kyle and Buda have 367 and 148 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is 6,262 with 68 tests still pending. The number of hospitalizations to date is 56 with 17 currently hospitalized, up two from yesterday’s report. The total number of fatalities remains five.
