Offensive lineman David Tachie, (54), comes from McKinney, Texas. Tachie originally started his football career right out of high school playing for Central Arkansas but felt the need to come back home to Texas. He transferred to Texas State in 2017 and finished off his football career as a Bobcat. Tachie chose to come to Texas State because of the family atmosphere. The football training program was turning around and he wanted to be a part of it. Tachie’s fondest memory from the 2019 football season is when the team beat Georgia State in triple overtime. Tachie, a fall 2019 graduate, reminisces about his time playing as a bobcat stating, “I’m just thankful for an opportunity to be around such a great city that supports us win or lose.”
