The San Marcos Police Department is searching for a suspect in a robbery at Spirit Pit Shop in San Marcos.
Police say at approximately 6:53 p.m. on Dec. 11, the suspect entered the shop, located at 1214 IH-35 South, and waited for all customers to leave. The suspect then walked up to the counter, police say, pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the clerk, demanding cash from the register.
Police say the suspect, described as an approximately 6-foot-tall white or Hispanic male, retrieved the cash and fled on foot southbound along Hines Street. Police say the suspect was sporting a red Air Jordan hoodie, a ball cap, a blue or purple camo-print gaiter face cover, black pants and Nike Air Jordan shoes.
“The offender possibly has a small tattoo on the web of his right hand and another possible tattoo on the inside of his right wrist,” police said in a press release.
The investigation is currently ongoing.
Anyone with home surveillance video or information about the incident should contact Detective Aubry at 512.753.2306 or [email protected]
