Hays County reports 10 new COVID-19 cases, 82 recoveries

Hays County COVID-19 Update

The Hays County Health Department reports 10 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 82 recoveries Sept. 29, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 5,926, active cases to 1,456 and recoveries to 4,415. The total active cases in the last 21 days is 455.

San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 423, 672 and 244 active cases, respectively.

According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 26,716. The total number of hospitalizations is 344 and total current hospitalizations is 9 after one patient was admitted. There have been 55 fatalities in the county.
