The Hays County Health Department reports 82 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 45 recoveries Nov. 7-9, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 6,413 and recoveries to 5,917. The total active cases in the last 21 days is 537.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 73, 145 and 105 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 39,022. The total number of hospitalizations is 396 and total current hospitalizations is seven after five patients were admitted and three were discharged.
The Hays County Local Health Department does not release county COVID-19 updates on weekends. Data included in this report includes data gathered Nov. 7 and 8.
