The Hays County Local Health Department reports 47 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 37 recoveries July 9, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 19,238, total active cases to 199 and recoveries to 18,776.
There have been a total of 263 COVID-19-related fatalities in the county since the start of the pandemic. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 280. San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 49, 86 and 34 active cases, respectively.
