The Hays County Local Health Department reports one new COVID-19 related fatality July 20, a Kyle man in his 60s. There have been a total of 265 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 132 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 35 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 19,676, total active cases to 491 and recoveries to 18,920. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 576.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 147, 155 and 108 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 186,711. The total number of hospitalizations is 941 and total current hospitalizations is 14 after three people were hospitalized and four were discharged.
