The Hays County Local Health Department reports one new COVID-19-related fatality on Feb. 10, a Kyle woman in her 70s. There have been a total of 202 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 64 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 78 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 15,858, total active cases to 1,544 and recoveries to 14,112. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 2,643.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 398, 563 and 282 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 116,587. The total number of hospitalizations is 710 and total current hospitalizations is 28 after three people were hospitalized and six were discharged.
