The Hays County Local Health Department reports one new COVID-19-related fatality, a Kyle woman in her 50s. There have been a total of 247 fatalities in the county.

The county also reported 25 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 48 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 18,864, total active cases to 239 and recoveries to 18,378. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 361.

San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 61, 60 and 27 active cases, respectively.

According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 170,853. The total number of hospitalizations is 879 and total current hospitalizations is 11 after one person was hospitalized and five were discharged.
