The Hays County Local Health Department reports one new COVID-19-related fatality, a San Marcos woman in her 50s. There have been a total of 241 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 153 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 through April 10-12 and 28 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 17,600, total active cases to 556 and recoveries to 16,803. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 725.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 236, 149 and 86 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 150,175. The total number of hospitalizations is 810 and total current hospitalizations is 10 after five people were hospitalized and seven were discharged.
