The Hays County Local Health Department reports 23 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 83 recoveries on March 10, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 16,615, total active cases to 499 and recoveries to 15,887. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 782.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 147, 126 and 121 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 131,735. The total number of hospitalizations is 762 and total current hospitalizations is 12 after two people were hospitalized and two were discharged. The total number of fatalities in the county is 229.
