The Bobcats ended their 2017 football season after a 62-9 loss to the Troy Trojans Nov. 24 at the Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama.
Texas State closed out their season with a 2-10 season record for the second straight season under head coach Everett Withers.
The Trojans took an early 17-0 lead over the Bobcats before ending the first quarter.

Before the end of the half, the Trojans added more points to the board scoring two touchdowns. The Bobcats went into the locker room down 41-0.
Graduate quarterback Damian Williams’ three-yard touchdown put the Bobcats on the board in the third quarter. After a 76-yard scoring drive, the extra point attempt by junior kicker James Sherman was blocked.
Troy responded with two touchdowns in the third quarter. The Trojans were up 55-6 going into the fourth.
The Bobcats answered with a 30-yard field goal by sophomore linebacker Gavin Graham. Troy added one more touchdown to the board, making the final score 62-9.
