I heavily rely on the shuttles to get to campus during the week, and there have been times where I missed a shuttle because it was not on the tracking part of the TXST app, which put me behind schedule. I also wish the normal shuttles ran during the weekend, because I work on campus and parking is scarce.

It’s a battle to get onto the bus, especially if you’re going from the campus to the stadium parking lot. It adds anywhere between an extra 15 minutes to an extra 30 minutes to my commute. On days where I need to stay late and it’s only the “evening route,” running, it’s sometimes faster to just walk all the way to the stadium. I don’t know what to value after the sun sets, my time or safety. It’s ridiculous.

The buses are so overcrowded, it’s insane. There should be at least four buses for each route at this point. We have to pack ourselves like sardines on a bus just to get to class on time.

I use the shuttles on the Bobcat Stadium route. Somedays I have to leave my apartment an hour before my class starts to make sure I can get there on time because I know the shuttles will be full. I have been late to classes numerous times because the shuttles are so packed that I can’t get on. I also have an evening class and by the time I get out of class there is only one shuttle running, so sometimes I am stuck waiting for 20-30 minutes just for the shuttle to return to campus.

I use Holland one of the smaller routes that isn’t as busy as others. It’s also close to campus so the bus is constantly coming and going. My experience is excellent, but I can see how some routes like Mill Street don’t have the same positive experience as my route. With so many people coming from those routes they really should add more buses because what they have isn’t enough. I often times walk by other shuttles and see them packed to the brim with more people waiting to get on. My experience is good, but only because it’s manageable. The bigger routes are definitely not as efficient.

I took the shuttle to a class one time and the driver skipped my stop because they were behind schedule and I had to take the same route again.

I greatly appreciate the shuttles, but the number of shuttles running on a given route at a given day is very inconsistent. Sometimes I park my car and the shuttle is right there, because there are 4 shuttles on the same route, but some days I wait 15 minutes or so for a bus because only 1, maybe 2 buses are running. This can make me late to class, even though I arrive in plenty of time to catch a shuttle and go to class, but I never know when 4 shuttles are running versus just 1.

The shuttles are very overcrowded and dirty. I was told that the bus seats have this specific pattern so you can’t tell how dirty they really are. I feel dirty every time I ride.
