The Hays County Local Health Department reports 75 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and zero recoveries Dec. 11, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 8,091, total active cases to 1,057 and recoveries to 6,927. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 1,265.

San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 170, 384 and 251 active cases, respectively.

According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 58,709. The total number of hospitalizations is 454 and total current hospitalizations is seven after one person was hospitalized and three were discharged. The total number of fatalities in the county is 107.
