The Hays County Health Department reported 24 new cases of COVID-19 June 9, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed cases in the county to 465 and active cases to 210.
As of 4 p.m. June 9, the number of individuals who have recovered from the virus is 250, up by 17 from Monday. The total number of negative tests is 4,514, with 39 tests still pending.
The total number of hospitalizations to date is 34. There are currently six individuals still hospitalized. The number of COVID-19 fatalities remains five.
Kyle, San Marcos and Buda are the cities with the highest number of active cases at 106, 60 and 29, respectively.
