The Hays County Health Department reported 81 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 June 25 along with 14 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 2,275, active cases to 1,853 and recovered cases to 417.
San Marcos has the highest number of active cases in the county at 1,240. Kyle and Buda have 389 and 148 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is 6,547 with 59 tests still pending. The number of hospitalizations to date is 62 with 23 currently hospitalized, up six from yesterday’s report. The total number of fatalities remains five.
