Texas State men’s golf is headed to Little Rock, Arkansas Oct. 19-20 for the Little Rock Invitational at the Chenal Country Club.
The annual tournament will be the final of the fall season and will be hosted by the Little Rock Trojans.
The 15-team tournament will tee off Oct. 19 with 36 holes and conclude Oct. 20 with the final 18 holes. Both days will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, meaning all teams will start at the same time but at different holes.
Last time out, the Bobcats took on the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate tournament on Oct. 12-13 and came out second place overall with a score of 848 and shot 16 under par.
The leaders for the Bobcats in the Bubba Barnett tournament were junior Fabian Sunden (205, -11) in second place and senior Logan Lockwood (213, -3) in seventh. This is the second time the duo has led the team since the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate Sept. 13-15.
Texas State is looking to stay consistent with inside 150 yards, an area they have improved in since the Bubba Barnett Tournament.
In the 2019 Little Rock Invitational Texas State (886, +22) finished eighth out of 15 teams. In the 2019 tournament, the Bobcats were led by Lockwood (213, -3) tied for third, and senior Calvin Ross (214, -2) tied for fifth.
