The Hays County Health Department reports 13 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 37 recoveries Oct. 30, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 6,132 and recoveries to 5,722. The total active cases in the last 21 days is 393.
The county recently changed active COVID-19 case counts in the county after an internal review showed inaccurate active case counts in San Marcos and Kyle. As of Oct. 30, San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 78, 115 and 87 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 35,576. The total number of hospitalizations is 387 and total current hospitalizations is 11 after three new patients were admitted.
