The Hays County Health Department reports 78 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 44 recoveries Nov. 17, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 6,798 and recoveries to 6,070. The total active cases in the last 21 days is 738.

San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 99, 245 and 165 active cases, respectively.

According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 43,520. The total number of hospitalizations is 410 and total current hospitalizations is 10. There have been a total of 92 fatalities in the county.
