Note: Due to a “technical issue”, The Hays County Local Health Department released a condensed version of its COVID-19 report Jan. 11. An updated report was released Jan. 12 which states 106 additional people are now recovered.
The Hays County Local Health Department released a condensed version of its COVID-19 report due to “a technical issue,” reporting two new COVID-19-related fatalities Jan. 11, a San Marcos woman in her 80s and a San Marcos man in his 50s. There have been a total of 140 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 565 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 106 recoveries since Jan. 8, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 12,110 and recoveries to 9,705.
The total number of hospitalizations is 608 and total current hospitalizations is 42.
