The Hays County Local Health Department reports one new COVID-19-related fatalities on Feb. 10, a Wimberly man in his 80s. There have been a total of 201 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 85 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 157 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 15,794, total active cases to 1,559 and recoveries to 14,034. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 2,614.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 394, 569 and 288 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 115,134. The total number of hospitalizations is 707 and total current hospitalizations is 31 after two people were hospitalized and eight were discharged.
