The Hays County Local Health Department reports two new COVID-19-related fatalities March 11, a Buda woman in her 40s and a Kyle male in his 80s. There have been a total of 231 fatalities in the county.
The county also reported 36 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 60 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 16,651 , total active cases to 473 and recoveries to 15,947. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 818.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 142, 112 and 113 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 132,453. The total number of hospitalizations is 764 and total current hospitalizations is 10 after two people were hospitalized and four were discharged.
