The Texas State’s Women’s basketball team fell to Appalachian State by 21 points on the road.
Both teams didn’t waste any time and got out to a very fast start as Texas State was only down 23-20 at the end of the first quarter.
Appalachian State took over this game in the 2nd quarter outscoring Texas State 23-9, giving them a 17-point lead going into the half.
At one point the Bobcats were able to cut the lead down to 12 at the beginning of the 4th quarter but was unable to make a comeback.
Texas State freshman, Kennedy Taylor, led the team with scoring with 11 points. Standout guard Tousha Leavitt also added 10 points but struggled from the field shooting 4-21 and 2-11 from behind the arc on the day.
This loss marks four in a row for the Bobcats as they turn their attention to Coastal Carolina on the road a road February 9th.
