Chapter leader Alexa Atkinson represented PERIOD, a global non-profit organization that provides and celebrates menstrual hygiene, in a March 25 presentation to Student Government about bringing free feminine products to campus.
Atkinson wishes to put the feminine products in or right outside on-campus bathrooms. The placements will accommodate transgender and non-binary students who do not wish to enter bathrooms.
Student Government said any student organization that would like to help put forth the funds to this project are welcome to get in touch with the cabinet.
Student government also spoke of Susie Mullen, Chartwells employee and viking princess, who passed away over the weekend. They described her as a bright light with a positive attitude.
Student Government meets at 7 p.m. every Monday in the LBJ Teaching Theater.
