The Hays County Local Health Department reports one new COVID-19-related fatality Dec. 3, a Kyle woman in her 60s, as well as 66 new lab-confirmed cases, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 7,592, active cases to 769 and recoveries to 6,718. The county reports the total active cases in the last 21 days is 1,130.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 75, 314 and 209 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 52,811. The total number of hospitalizations is 437 and total current hospitalizations is nine.
