Texas State’s COVID-19 dashboard added 55 new student COVID-19 cases and two faculty/staff cases since the Sept. 17 report.
According to the dashboard, 24 people tested positive Sept. 19, the fourth-highest single-day increase in positive cases since the fall semester began. The highest single-day increase in positive tests was Sept. 11 at 35 cases, the second-highest was Sept. 17 at 27 cases, and the third-highest was Aug. 28 at 25 cases.
163 cases are considered active.
The dashboard states that numbers include positive COVID-19 test results for students, faculty and staff who tested at the Student Health Center or reported positive results after being tested at other sites. Results received from other sites are added to the graph based on the test date.
