The Hays County Health Department reports two new COVID-19-related fatalities Oct. 14, a Buda man in his 60s and a Buda woman in her 80s. The total number of fatalities in the county is 57.
The county also reports 26 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 83 recoveries, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 6,110, active cases to 830 and recoveries to 5,223. Total active cases in the last 21 days is 311.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 109, 486 and 149 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 30,996. The total number of hospitalizations is 355 and total current hospitalizations is eight after one new individual was hospitalized and one was discharged.
