Hays County reports four new COVID-19 cases

Hays County COVID-19 Update

The Hays County Local Health Department reports four new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 90 recoveries March 30, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 17,125, total active cases to 368 and recoveries to 16,521. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 552.

San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 147, 118 and 52 active cases, respectively.

According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 142,897. The total number of hospitalizations is 788 and total current hospitalizations is eight after one person was hospitalized and zero were discharged. The total number of fatalities in the county is 236.
