The Hays County Local Health Department reports 260 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 110 recoveries July 26, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 20,056, total active cases to 715 and recoveries to 19,075. The county reports the total active cases in the past 21 days is 928.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 182, 222 and 165 active cases, respectively.

According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 189,002. The total number of hospitalizations is 968 and total current hospitalizations is 31 after 25 people were hospitalized and four were discharged. The total number of fatalities in the county is 266.
