The Texas State Bobcats travelled to Semmes, AL, climbing two spots on the final day to secure a podium finish in 3rd place at The Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at Magnolia Grove in Semmes, Alabama, on Tuesday. The team’s finish is the highest during the 2025-26 season.
For the first time since the season opener, the Myrtle Bay Intercollegiate, Bryce Womack (68-75-68–211) led the TXST lineup, finishing tied for 11th in the 81-player field. Womack finished his fourth tournament of the season under par at 2-under.
Host South Alabama won the tournament at 26-under while Kansas State was second at 21-under. The Bobcats (282-291-276–849) finished 3-under thanks to a third-round at 8-under
Seniors Harrison Jaeger (73-72-68–213) and Sakke Siltala (70-73-70–213) also finished inside the top 20, tying for 18th at even par.
Jaeger shot for his first round of the 60s this season on the final 18, going 3-under 68, while Siltala shot 70 in the first and third rounds to bring his total for rounds at even or under par to 16 this season, a number he shares with Ben Loveard to lead the team. The finish was a season-best for Jaeger as part of the lineup and was the fifth inside the top 20 for Siltala.
Ben Loveard (71-74-70–215) fired his best round of the tournament on Tuesday, which included five of his team-leading 13 birdies, going 1-under to close out the tournament +2 and tied for 28th.z Rounding out the Bobcat lineup was Jose Manuel Berenguel Casas (74-72-71–217), who finished 37th at +4. Competing individually was Enzo Dakiche (71-72-73–216), who finished +3 and tied for 31st.
TXST plays its final tournament of the regular season before taking on the field at the Sun Belt Championship when the Bobcats travel to the East Coast for the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial hosted by Virginia April 13-14.
