Texas State Soccer officially released their schedule for their upcoming 2026 season in what is their inaugural season in the Pac-12 Conference.
Head coach Steve Holeman’s squad will have 10 games at the Bobcat Soccer Complex and 18 regular season games overall.
Prior to opening the season, the Bobcats will play two exhibition games on the road, opening their season south of the border against Texas State Mexico at Queretaro, Mexico on Aug. 5. They will head back up to Texas and head to Abilene to play Abilene Christian on Aug. 8.
Regular season play will commence down I-35 with a matchup against UTSA on Aug. 12.
They’ll follow that game up with two home matchups against UTRGV on Aug. 16 and Texas A&M on Aug. 19 before traveling to Waco to play against the Baylor Bears, who eliminated the Bobcats last season from the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament in the first round.
They’ll follow that up with three-straight home games to wrap up August and begin September, with games against East Texas A&M on Aug. 27, Texas Southern on Aug. 30 and Rice on Sept. 3.
Texas State will then head on the road to play a familiar foe in former Sun Belt Conference rival Louisiana-Lafayette on Sept. 10 and face-off against Louisiana Tech, their SBC replacement, in Ruston, La. on Sept. 13.
The Bobcats will wrap up their out-of-conference slate with a home game against Santa Clara on Sept. 20.
On Oct. 1, Texas State will open up their first ever conference game against Utah State away from home; the conference home opener will be against San Diego State on Oct. 4.
They will play against Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore. on Oct. 11 before heading back to the hill country to host two games on Oct. 16 and Oct. 22 against Colorado State and Gonzaga, respectively.
The Bobcats will then end the month of October with a road-trip to Washington State on Oct. 25 and their final home game of the regular season against Boise State on Oct. 30.
Texas State will wrap up their regular season against Fresno State on Nov. 5.
The conference postseason tournament, which will be a first for the Pac-12, will be determined by the teams who finish the season top four in the standings. The host site will be campus-hosted and be determined by the school with the highest non-conference RPI. The semifinals will commence on either Nov. 11 or 12 and the championship game will occur on Nov. 14 or 15.
The Bobcats will enter the season as one of the favorites to win the new-look conference title, as they were the only squad to finish in the top 60 in NCAA RPI last season.
One of the only unknowns now is where these games will be streamed. The Pac-12 has a media deal secured for their major sports like football and basketball, but it is unclear what the conference will decide to do with the rest.
For now though, the calendar is set, and the Bobcats’ Pac-12 soccer debut is finally within sight.
