The Texas State Basketball team defeated A&M Corpus Christi last night 61-55 at American Bank Center in Corpus Christi.
The Bobcats scoring was led by freshman forward Alonzo Sule. Sule was 9-10 in field goals, finishing with 22 points and five rebounds in 26 minutes of floor time.
The win against the Islanders boosts Texas State’s season record to 8-1 before conference play has even begun. The win also marks the sixth consecutive win by the Bobcats.
The men’s basketball team will host Houston Baptist at 4 p.m. Saturday at the University Events Center at Strahan Arena in San Marcos.
