The Hays County Sheriff’s Office’s investigation into possible illicit activity at a San Marcos spa led to an arrest made Oct. 29 for Trafficking of Persons.
The Riverbend Spa, located at 1904 Old Ranch Rd. 12 in San Marcos, has been under investigation by the Hays County Sheriff’s Office after being reported for illegal activity. From the investigation, police say workers have been performing sexual acts in exchange for money while residing in the shop.
Police say the alleged trafficker Selina Sun, 41, was taken into custody at her home in Austin with charges of Trafficking of Persons, a second-degree felony, after a search warrant for her home was issued. A bond has not been posted for Sun.
Police say the trafficked persons found in Riverbend Spa are being assisted by Austin refugee advocates.
The Hays County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with information on the investigation to call 512-393-7896.
