The Hays County Health Department reports eight new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 46 recoveries Sept. 10, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 5,568, active cases to 1,915 and recoveries to 3,602.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 713, 757 and 313 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 25,648 with 36 tests still pending. The total number of hospitalizations is 158 and total current hospitalizations is 8 after five patients were discharged. There have been 51 fatalities in the county.
