Texas State Student Government, alongside Transdev, secured a shuttle service to take students to the Hays County Elections Office to vote in the city council place 2 runoffs on Dec. 2-3.
According to Abby Myers, student body president, the shuttle will run every 25 minutes from 9 a.m. to 4:40 p.m., Dec. 2-3. It will pick up students at the LBJ bus loop on the Jackson Hall side. Myers said students need their real Texas ID to vote, not their student ID.
The place 2 runoff is between Josh Paselk and incumbent Saul Gonzales. Since no candidate received a majority of votes during the Nov. 4 election, they will be represented in the runoff ballot.
Early voting for the runoff occurs Dec. 1-9 at the Hays County Elections Office at 120 Stagecoach Trail. Election Day is Dec. 13, with polling locations at the Elections Office and Broadway Polling Location at 401 Broadway St. #A.
