According to the Texas State University Police Department’s TXState Alert, the power has been restored, and normal operations are set to resume at 10 a.m.

A new alert issued at 8:20 a.m. listed more than 35 affected campus facilities, including residence halls, academic buildings, parking garages and utility sites. Affected areas include McCoy Hall/Woods Garage, Tower Hall/Tower Garage, Alkek Library, JCK, the Performing Arts Center, several residence halls such as San Jacinto, Retama, Lantana and Laurel, and utility facilities including the South Plant, East Plant, Boiler Plant and Physical Plant.
The email also indicated a delayed start of 10 a.m. for select buildings on campus.

A power outage has been reported affecting multiple buildings at Texas State, including Alkek Library. According to a TXST Alert email, a steam pipe rupture near the South Utility Plant caused the outages.
Facilities personnel and emergency responders are on-site assessing the situation and working to restore service, according to the email.
