According to San Marcos city spokesperson Russell Wilde, the incident occurred just after 4 p.m. when a truck carrying an oversized load came into contact with utility lines while exiting at the northbound Yarrington Road exit, pulling them down across both northbound and southbound I-35.
No injuries were reported, and the roadway was cleared and reopened just before 7 p.m. Crews are still working to restore power to all affected customers.

Interstate 35 is closed in both directions at Exit 207 Sunday evening after an oversized load struck power lines, according to San Marcos Emergency Services.
The incident appears to have caused power outages in the area, with the SMTX Utilities outage map showing crews have been assigned.
