The Hays County Health Department reports 48 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 19 recoveries Nov. 5, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 6,313 and recoveries to 5,861. The total active cases in the last 21 days is 482.
San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 58, 134 and 95 active cases, respectively.
According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 37,233. The total number of hospitalizations is 391 and total current hospitalizations is five.
