The Texas State Women’s Basketball team had a dominant performance against Huston-Tillotson Monday night at Strahan Arena, scoring a season high 95 points in four quarters of play.
The Bobcats had multiple standout performances from the rotation, with four Bobcats finishing the game with double-digit points, as well as one Bobcat finishing with a double-double.
Leading the team in scoring with a season high of 21 points was senior guard Myri Walker on 8-15 shooting from the field, as well as junior forward Kaliyah Murphy, who dropped a double-double with a career high 18 Points, shooting 7-12, with 13 rebounds. Junior forward Kyla McBride also went for double-digits, scoring 11 points on 5-11 shooting.
Sophomore forward Kyra Anderson also had a productive night, dropping 10 points on a perfect 5-5 shooting in 12 minutes of play alongside junior forward Kyaija Stewart’s career high of seven points, rounding out the top performers.
The Bobcats won the Game 95-33 against the Rams, moving the Bobcats back to a .500 record, sitting at 6-6 on the season.
Texas State is set to travel to Harrisonburg, VA., to face off against the James Madison Dukes at 1 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2026, at the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
