The Hays County Health Department reports one new COVID-19-related fatality Nov. 3, a San Marcos man in his 80s. There have been 89 fatalities in the county. 

The county also reports 55 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 10 recoveries Nov. 3, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 6,231, total active cases to 349 and recoveries to 5,793. The county reports the total active cases in the last 21 days is 473.

San Marcos, Kyle and Buda have 64, 124 and 97 active cases, respectively.

According to Epidemiologist Eric Schneider, the total number of received negative tests in the county is now 36,816. The total number of hospitalizations is 391 and total current hospitalizations is eight after two individuals were discharged.
