After snapping a five-match losing streak with a 3-1 win against the University of Houston on March 20, Texas State volleyball (28-8 overall, 15-1 Sun Belt) will play its final three home matches from March 25-27. 
First up will be a rematch against the University of North Texas (11-9 overall, 6-6 C-USA) on March 25, followed by two matches against Texas Tech University (9-13 overall, 5-11 Big 12) on March 26-27.
The Bobcats are spearheaded by junior setter Emily DeWalt, junior outside hitter Janell Fitzgerald and senior middle blocker Tyeranee Scott. 
DeWalt leads the team with 10.65 assists per set (1342 total) while also contributing 0.8 kills per set (101 total) on .306 hitting. On the defensive end, DeWalt picks up 2.94 digs per set (370 total). 
Fitzgerald is Texas State’s leading scorer with 3.94 points per set (496 total). Fitzgerald averages 3.47 kills per set (437 total) on a hitting percentage of .315. Fitzgerald also makes an impact defensively with .75 blocks a set (95 total, 19 solo, 76 assists). 
Scott is the team’s leading blocker with .89 per set (101 total, 21 solo, 80 assists) while also getting 2.54 kills per set (290 total) on an efficient .347 hitting percentage.
As a whole, the Bobcats hit .237 for 13.7 kills per set and get 12.9 assists per set. Defensively, Texas State only allows opponents to hit .173 and get 11.5 kills per set while averaging 16.2 digs and 2.1 blocks per set. The Bobcats have taken care of the ball this season, only committing 17 ball handling errors while their opponents have committed 72.
Texas State’s match against UNT will be a rematch of the Feb. 22 match, in which the Bobcats lost 3-0 (25-22, 25-17, 25-22). The Mean Green are currently on a five-game win streak and will be looking to make it six straight as they head into the Conference USA tournament.
On the season, UNT averages 12.8 kills on .231 hitting and picks up 12.8 assists per set. On the side of the net, the Mean Green get 14.5 digs and 1.9 blocks per set as they allow opponents to score 13.6 kills per set and hit .248.
Leading the way for UNT is junior outside hitter Rhett Robinson with 4.18 kills (322 total) and 0.88 blocks per set (68 total, five solo, 63 assists). Setting up Robinson is senior setter Kaliegh Skopal who averages 9.38 assists per set (722 total) and 2.25 digs (173 total).
The two matches against Texas State will also be the last of the regular season for the Red Raiders. Texas Tech is currently on a two-game win streak.
The Red Raiders average 12.8 kills and 11.8 assists per set while hitting the ball at a .231 clip. Texas Tech struggles to prevent opponents from scoring, allowing 13.6 kills per set and a .248 hitting percentage.
Senior outside hitter Samantha Sanders averages 3.59 kills (305 total) and a hitting percentage of .196 for the Red Raiders. She also makes an impact defensively with 2.09 digs per set (178 total). Junior setter Alex Kirby sets up her teammates an average of 10.07 (715 total) times per set and gets 2.35 (167 total) digs.
The Bobcats’ match against UNT begins at 6 p.m. on March 25. The first match against Texas Tech begins at 6 p.m. on March 26, followed by the second match at 1 p.m. on March 27. Both the March 25 and March 27 matches can be streamed on ESPN+.
