Texas State junior defensive specialist Kayla Granado (6) prepares to serve the ball across to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock during a game, Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, at Strahan Arena. The Bobcats won 3-0 against the Trojans.

Texas State volleyball (14-1 overall, 9-0 Sun Belt) will play the University of Texas at Arlington (8-1 overall and Sun Belt) in a double-header matchup Oct. 30-31 in Arlington, Texas.
Game one will take place at 6 p.m. on Oct. 30, and game two is set for 1 p.m. on Oct. 31.
Texas State moved up to No. 13 in the Oct. 28 AVCA Coaches Poll after being ranked No. 15 in last week’s poll. The Bobcats hold the top spot in the West Division and the conference. UTA is close behind the Bobcats, ranking second in the West and third in the conference.
Both teams will look to preserve their win streaks. Texas State is red hot, winning 11 games in a row while UTA has won three straight.
The Bobcats lead the Sun Belt in assists (739 total, 13.69 per set), kills (782 total, 14.48 per set) and hitting percentage (.259). They also rank third in blocks (2.18 per set) and fourth in digs (17.04 per set).
UTA is ranked first in the conference in digs per set (19.77), third in assists per set (12.89) and second in kills per set (14.23).
Two UTA players hold spots in the top 10 for kills per set: Freshman outside hitter Brianna Ford (3.33), and junior outside hitter Brooke Townsend (3.37). UTA sophomore defensive specialist/libero Alli Wells leads the conference in digs per set (6.40).
The Bobcats swept Little Rock (3-0, 3-1, 3-0) in their series last weekend.
The Bobcats finished with 165 kills, 187 digs and 163 assists over three matches against Little Rock. Junior outside hitter Kenedi Rutherford (15) and senior middle blocker Tyeranee Scott (17) both recorded career highs in kills. Junior setter Emily DeWalt moved up to fifth-place (3,039) for assists in program history during game two on Oct. 23.
On Oct. 27, Scott won her second career Defensive Player of the Week award and is the first Bobcat this season to receive the award. DeWalt earned her second consecutive Setter of the Week award, her fourth this season and 13th of her career.
UT Arlington is coming off a series sweep against ULM (3-1, 3-0, 3-0) Oct. 23-24.
