1/26 Update:
Texas State will return to normal operations on Tuesday, Jan. 27. The San Marcos campus will open at regular hours and classes will be held as scheduled. The Round Rock campus will open at noon and classes will be held as scheduled for the remainder of the day.
“Students or employees who are unable to make it to either campus due to local conditions, should contact their supervisor or instructor,” the university wrote in its email.

Texas State University canceled classes on Monday, Jan. 26 due to winter weather conditions.
According to a press release emailed to The Star, all university offices will be closed and events canceled on Monday and buses will not run. Commons and Harris Dining Halls will close at 8 p.m. on Sunday and reopen from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, while Jones Dining Center will attempt to open at noon, but all other dining locations will be closed.
“While the current forecast suggests we will be open on Tuesday, TXST will continue to monitor weather conditions and will make an announcement no later than 2 p.m. Monday afternoon regarding Tuesday’s schedule,” the university wrote in its release.
Housing, the University Police Department and facilities stall will be on-campus and on-call to maintain building access and handle emergencies. According to the brief “weather essential employees” will be working as normal.
