Judge Dallari Landry was sworn in, Nov. 1 as the presiding judge of the San Marcos Municipal Court.
Landry is taking over for Judge John Burke. After 12 years serving as presiding judge, Burke will now be an associate judge for the court.
In a press release, the city of San Marcos said Landry has had a strong connection to the city for 32 years. Landry has practiced law in San Marcos since 1986, and she taught in Texas State’s Criminal Justice Department at Texas State from 2009-14.
“My favorite city is San Marcos,” Landry said. “This is where I will dedicate the remainder of my career to public service, and it is a position that has been my good fortune, pleasure and privilege to hold.”

Texas Supreme Court Justice Paul W. Green swore in Judge Dallari Landry as the presiding judge of the San Marcos Municipal Court, Nov. 1.
