With the fall inching closer, Texas State volleyball earlier this week officially released their upcoming schedule for the 2026 season, which includes participating in a variety of tournaments within the state as well as their first-ever series of conference games as a member of the Pac-12.
They will open with a pair of home exhibition games on Aug. 15 and 22 against Tarletan State and Lamar, respectively.
The Bobcats will then open their regular season with the ‘Texas State Invitational’ to wrap up August with games against former-Sun Belt foe Louisiana-Lafayette and Oklahoma from Aug. 28-30.
From here, they will be on the road within the state for three straight weekends to partake in multiple tournaments. They will first head towards the gulf to play in the ‘Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Tournament’ from Sept. 3-5 to play against TAMU-CC, UT-Rio Grande Valley and UT-El Paso.
Next, they will head to “The Oldest Town in Texas” and play in the ‘Stephen F. Austin Tournament’ on Sept. 10-12. That tournament will feature SFA, UT-Arlington and North Texas.
They will wrap up non-conference play with a trip to the Bayou from Sept. 18-19 and participate in the ‘Houston Tournament’, featuring Houston, I-35 rival UTSA and Houston Christian.
Following their road trip, they will return home to begin their first ever conference slate against Pac-12 opponents. The conference schedule features a double round-robin format, with Texas State facing Utah State, Colorado State, Oregon State, Boise State, Gonzaga, Washington State, San Diego State and Fresno State both at home and on the road.
They will wrap up September with back-to-back home games, firstly opening up their conference schedule with Utah State on Sept. 24 and Colorado State on Sept. 26.
Notable home conference matches include Gonzaga on Oct. 8, Washington State on Oct. 10, Oregon State on Oct. 15, Boise State on Oct. 31 and Fresno State on Nov. 7.
The Bobcats will close the regular season with road trips to Colorado State on Nov. 17 and Fresno State on Nov. 19 before the inaugural Pac-12 Championship begins Nov. 23.
For the first time in conference history, the Pac-12 will host a postseason volleyball championship tournament. The four-team event will be played at the campus site of the school with the highest first-half conference winning percentage.
After more than a decade of dominance in the Sun Belt, the Bobcats now turn their attention to the Pac-12, where they will look to establish themselves as contenders from the moment they enter the conference.
